Pump up Your Snowboarding Fun with Some Snowboard Tricks!

We have all seen the extreme videos they show on TV.  You know, the ones where the snowboarding tricks seem to be almost impossible to accomplish.  Of course, these people are all professionals, but you can learn some of these snowboarding tricks too.  You can take a few lessons from a pro or rent a video. Then practice, practice, practice your snowboard tricks.

Some of the most popular snowboarding tricks for beginners are: Riding Fakie, Catching Air, Tip Rolls, Wheelies, Grabs and Spins.  To some snowboarders these tricks may seem very basic, but it is necessary to learn them before progressing to the more difficult snowboard tricks. For instance, once you learn to jump and catch air you can progress to grabbing the board or trying a 180 spin. One of the easiest ways of mastering a new move is to build yourself a simple snowboard jump and practice it over and over. This way you’ll be able to perfect your technique under a consistent set of conditions, and once you’ve got that nailed, you will be able to cope with variations in the jump, like different terrain, approach angle, speed, run-out, etc. a lot easier.

Snowboarding tricks for the experienced boarder are thrilling to watch and even more thrilling to perfect.  Some popular tricks are: Ollies, Air to Fakies, Cab 540, Haakon Flip, Superman Front Flip, the McTwist Double Back Flips and Double Front Flips.  Many of these tricks are done in competitions.  They take a lot of practice and confidence.  Most snowboarders are thrill seekers and love the risk involved.  If you have ever watched the freestyle events at the Olympics you will agree these snowboard tricks are for not for the faint of heart, but what a rush of adrenalin you will get once you give them a try, not to mention how you will impress your friends.  Go on, at least try a few tricks to add to your repertoire – but don’t be dumb about it – wear your protective gear.
