Snowboard Gloves - A Good Thing
Snowboard gloves are essential to keep you warm and dry while on the slopes. There are a few things to consider when choosing your gloves. We will try to cover all the bases here. Snowboard gloves can be made from several materials but the best will be waterproof as the snowboarder comes in contact with the snow fairly often.
Gore-Tex® material is windproof, waterproof yet breathable and makes excellent snowboard gloves. Check for double stitching and sealed seam construction. We prefer gloves that have a removable liner for washing. Polar fleece is popular too as it is soft and warm and dries fairly quickly, however it may not wear as well. Fleece lining may be an option if you want extra warmth.
While snowboard gloves are the most popular there are many who prefer mitts. You can buy mitts that fold back and attach to the back of the hand to allow you to have fingerless gloves when warmth is not a necessity. Gauntlet style gloves are great too as they stop the snow from creeping up under your sleeves. Gloves – wear them and stay warm!
